Overlays

 Last weekend I went on a tour with my daughter of an art school that she is thinking about attending.  This art school is located in a building that was once a “lunatic asylum”.  It is a beautiful historic building, carefully restored and renovated, with an interesting history.

The guided tour we joined had a mix of people who were interested in the history of the building, and people who were interested in attending the art school.  During the tour we heard a lot about the activities and functions of the old asylum.  There were people on the tour asking lots of questions about the goings on of the asylum with lots of “torturous” stories they seem proud to share.  It made us feel uncomfortable.

When I tuned into the energy of the building it felt fantastic.  I could see a type of overlay that the art school had brought to the building.  The art school had literally covered the past, not in a creepy suppressive way, but in an evolutionary way.  The past has finished, that cycle for this building has ended and a new one has begun.

Unfortunately, the questions being asked by the people on the tour were dredging up the past, through the overlay, and into peoples consciousnesses.  It seemed really unnecessary, heavy and not at all what we in new earth need to be doing.

I was happy to acknowledge the buildings history and marvel in the old architecture, but more excited to see it move forward rather than sink my consciousness into the dying ground of old earth and connect strongly with the old history.  Because I have processed so much of my past, it is much easier for me to process the past of the world around me.  I don’t need to feel it and re-live it anymore (either within me or around me).  It is time to move on just like this building has happily moved on.

This overlay image that I received when tuning into the building is applicable for the whole planet.  New Earth feels like an overlay of new energies, new realities and new possibilities.  Unfortunately, many people are still dredging up the old earth even though it doesn’t exist anymore.  This now requires a lot of energy to reach down through the new earth overlay, and into old earth to still live by its rules and constraints, and it is probably why it is so much harder for people to do this and makes them feel so uncomfortable and unsettled.

It is time to let old earth go, to let the past dissolve so that we can step up onto the new earth overlay that is ready and waiting for us to acknowledge it, use it, live in it, flourish in it.  Just like the old building, we are re-purposing the rooms for our new earth needs and making very good use of the infrastructure that was already there, re-imagining what it could be used for, adding new sections for our comfort and ease and seeing the old in a much-needed new light.

Just because something has always been done a certain way, does not apply now.  This new earth overlay is here, ready and waiting for us to find new ways.
